Education for girls is one of our top priorities at Water for Development. Traditionally, it is the job of girls and young women to walk miles multiple times each day to collect water, often preventing them from attending school. By installing wells with pumps in central locations within communities, Water for Development ensures that girls no longer have to journey for water wach day and can instead attend their classes and receive educations. Furthermore, we work in collaboration with local organizations to construct schools, increasing access to education across Ethiopia.
